Using Med-Stop / List Search Groups
Search Groups
To assist you with the search process on the information list, our system allows you to save search criteria in the form of a Search Group.
To create a new group, locate the Create button just below the Search Group selection list. Click on it—this action opens the Search Group setup window.
Describe your group by filling in the Search Group Description field. Use a short label for the group description, as it must fit within the Search Group selection list.
The Search Group can be created as the default search setup for the selected list. This means that returning to this list will automatically select records based on the default group configuration.
You can make the group private—this means only you can see and access it—or make it company-wide by setting the Private Group option to NO.
Specifying the Information You Want to Retrieve
There are two ways to select groups of records in a list:
- Set the search criteria using filters and search text
- Select specific records from the list manually
You must define the search group settings before clicking the Create button to finalize the group. You may combine both methods—apply search parameters and select specific records from the list.
In some cases, if additional filters are defined for the selected list in the Med-Stop system, you will see an extra step to select those filters. These filters expand the search options available in the search box.
For example, in the Employee List, if you want to view only female employees, and there is no direct option to filter by gender, an additional filter can be defined to help with that.
If you cannot see the filter you'd like to use, please describe it, and we will create one if possible.
Removing the Search Group Setup
If you no longer need the Search Group setup, locate the Delete button just below the Search Group selection list and click on it. This will delete the group you created. You cannot delete default groups or those created by other users.
