Random Selection Service / Start using Random Selection Service
Set Up Your Company’s Random Selection Service
You can begin using the Med-Stop Random Selection service after registering your company on the Med-Stop website.
During the step-by-step registration process, make sure to select that your company wants to use the Random Selection Service.
Alternatively, you can activate the Random Selection service at any time within the Med-Stop system by selecting the "Random" option from the main menu and then clicking on "Random Service Setup."
To use the service, you must agree to the terms of the Med-Stop Random Selection Agreement.
When setting up the service, you can configure the following options:
Automatically Create DOT Pools
For DOT-regulated employers, setting this option to YES will automatically create the required selection pools. These pools are generated when you start the random selection service and at the beginning of each year. The pool’s target selection percentage is determined by DOT regulations.
For non-DOT-regulated companies, you must manually create selection pools and define the target percentage based on your company’s internal policies.
Automatically Update Pool Members
If you want Med-Stop to automatically update the pool member list based on your company’s active employee list, set this option to YES. When this option is enabled, you cannot manually remove employees from the pool. Employee termination will automatically remove them from the pool member list.
Default Selection Frequency
Choose the frequency of the random selection process. For DOT-regulated companies, it is recommended to set the selection period to QUARTERLY.
Include Employees with Status
If Auto Update Members is enabled, employees with the specified employment status will be automatically included in the pool.
