Company Setup / Company information
To use Med-Stop, you need to set up your company information in the system. This includes providing the basic company name and address, as well as configuring company contacts and Med-Stop options.
It is crucial to keep your company information up to date in the Med-Stop system.
Your company can have two statuses: ACTIVE or NOT ACTIVE. The ACTIVE status is the default operational status, indicating that the company is conducting its regular business operations and employees are fulfilling their duties. In this status, you can create new applicants, manage employees, and access test results. If your company ceases operations temporarily or permanently, you should change the status to NOT ACTIVE. This will grant you full access to the company data, but you will not be able to create or update most of the stored information in the system.
DOT or Non-DOT Regulated Company
The profile of the company and the functionality of the Med-Stop system greatly depend on whether the company is DOT regulated or not.
Your employees fall under DOT regulations if your company's vehicles have a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, are designed to transport 16 or more passengers (including the driver), or are used to transport hazardous materials that require placarding under the FMCSA's Hazardous Materials Regulations.
